Responsible for the leadership and management of the Motorway Operations Control Centre (MOCC) and services that this control room provides motorway traffic control and tunnel control
Lead the daytoday management of the MOCC and act as the lead point of contact for the client (TII) operational partners and stakeholders
Manage TIIs advanced motorway and tunnel management system applications
Monitor quality of all notifications and communications sent to stakeholders and the public
Liaise with other ERTO Departments and stakeholders to facilitate maintain & develop new and existing systems through a capital expenditure programme
Ensure compliance with applicable contractual obligations
Liaise on behalf of the client with operational partners and stakeholders
Facilitate operations by guiding critical decisions and development SOPs
Developing special event response plans and guiding/training on these
Ensure staff and other resources are being utilised effectively and efficiently
Identify develop & report on measures of effectiveness for the MOCC by providing KPIs on transportation management traveller information incident management & vehicle detection system data to managers stakeholders and motorway/tunnel users
Prepare regular reports on the performance of MOCC operations
Write and present on technical aspects for the MOCC
Taking all actions within the scope of the Service in an environmentally responsible manner
Qualifications :
Level 8 NFQ Ireland or other equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline
Essential: at least 5 years of experience managing people in a control room
Desirable: at least 2 years managing a traffic control & tunnel control room
Previous experience being responsible for the development & management of operations particularly control room with SCADA or similar control room systems
An understanding of client relationships and reporting including stakeholder liaison
Demonstrated ability in employee mentoring & development
Strong networking abilities and creative problemsolving
Change management experience leading continuous improvement of operating efficiencies
A high level of numeracy and demonstrable analytical skills
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic operations environment
