The Sales Manager is responsible for representing and driving the sales efforts of Hgglunds large hydraulic drive (LHD) products and services to our customers in the USA. The Sales Manager supports sales engineers and aftermarket sales associates by focusing on engagement with OEM & end user accounts to promote and increase the sales and services of the Hgglunds product range. The Sales Manager will also have responsibility for assigned vertical market segment support in the USA.
The Sales Manager should have strong communication & organizational skills along with the desire to present the value of the Hgglunds solution to customers. The Sales Manager will be the coach and mentor to the sales team on acquisition of new OEM business and increasing the aftermarket footprint in the region.
The Sales Manager will interact regularly with customers executives sales personnel and other Hgglunds and Bosch Rexroth employees to follow up on new inquiries and of existing orders. The level of quality displayed in the of this role can significantly impact Hgglunds & Bosch Rexroths reputation in the industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop growth strategy for Hgglunds direct hydraulic drive products and solutions to increase sales to and acquire new OEM customer accounts while continuing to grow and develop the aftermarket channel.
- Provide detailed technical specifications to the Engineering team to formulate drive solutions to meet customer application requirements
- Support the development and implementation of marketing initiatives to improve market awareness of Hgglunds
- Initiate and develop contact with key and target customers to establish strong relationships
- Provide expertise in the application of our technology find new leads and support the regional sales team in managing the direct sales channels for Hgglunds components and drive systems
- Prepare & present technical and commercial quotations to customers for all products within the Hgglunds Large Hydraulic Drives business unit
- Forecast sales growth and profit for key market segments to support business review meetings.
- Assist the Bosch Rexroth Service & Quality departments on quality and field related warranty issues
- Coordinate sales support needed from local and global industry sector managers to drive growth in US market.
- Develop and increase the effectiveness of the sales team utilizing value selling skills to generate higher customer acquisition especially with OEMs.
- Key performance indicators:
- Hgglunds USA order intake sales and profit by customer
- Number of motors sold by product family
- Number of motors repaired
- Number of Preventive Maintenance agreements acquired
- Opportunity pipeline growth in both total and weighted dollars.
Qualifications :
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Industrial Engineering Fluid Power or related technical field with minimum 7 years of experience in a sales or product management role alternately a Bachelors Degree in Business or Marketing with at least 10 years of direct sales experience in the industrial field would be considered.
- Time management skills to handle a consistently high volume of sales activities ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- 23 years of leadership experience with multiple direct reports in a sales or similar management capacity and ability to effectively lead and hold accountable a team of sales associates with the objective to drive organic growth via the OEM and Aftermarket channel.
- Value selling and sales negotiation experience with an engineered product to direct OEM & end user accounts.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills presentation skills and organizational skills.
- Personal computer knowledge: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint)
- Experience in use of CRM system and enforcing rules of usage with sales team and tracking growth/decline of opportunity pipeline.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP system
