Job Description

Location: TroisRivires
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Saturdays occasionally
Fulltime position Permanent

Under the authority of the Site Director of TroisRivires the Supervisor plans organizes directs controls and participates in all activities at AIM sites. The Supervisor ensures the operation of equipment and oversees its maintenance. They act as the primary contact for applying workplace health and safety rules within their area of responsibility.

The Supervisor will be responsible for:

  • Participating in the operations of ferrous and nonferrous departments (unloading clients sorting and identifying different metals weighing metals entering information into Recy operating machinery etc.;
  • Managing guiding and motivating the work team;
  • Managing inventory;
  • Leading team meetings (Safety Flash Tool Box etc.;
  • Directing the onboarding and integration process for new employees;
  • Developing team skills on an ongoing basis;
  • Ensuring that employees strictly follow health and safety policies and procedures at all times;
  • Managing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) needs and other equipment ensuring proper use maintenance and replacement when necessary;
  • Managing accounts payable (Maximo);
  • Managing container tracking;
  • Reporting to the Director on administrative followups related to production and maintenance documents;
  • Providing administrative support to the Director (e.g. approving employee timesheets leave and vacation requests);
  • Performing any other related tasks.

Qualifications :

  • Three or more years of experience in a similar management role ideally in the metal industry;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word Excel Outlook);
  • Bilingual in French and English.
