Locum Position 2 days per week for 4 weeks (Tues & Thurs)
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing highquality dental care to patients focusing on preventive measures and education. As a Dental Hygienist you will play a crucial role in maintaining oral health and ensuring patient comfort during their visits.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess the oral health of patients.
- Perform scaling and polishing of teeth applying fluoride treatments as necessary.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (Xrays) using medical imaging techniques.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental checkups.
- Assist in the diagnosis of oral diseases by providing detailed reports to the dentist.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with practice protocols.
- Ensure all dental instruments and equipment are sterilised and maintained according to health regulations.
- Collaborate with the dental team to create a welcoming and efficient environment for patients.
Qualifications
- Valid Dental Hygienist licence or certification from an accredited institution.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health including teeth gums and surrounding structures.
- Experience with CAD (ComputerAided Design) software is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in medical imaging techniques is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a teamoriented environment.
