Job Description
Job Title: Construction Accountant
Location: Noblesville IN (Onsite)
Experience Level: MidSenior Level
Employment Type: FullTime
Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detailoriented Construction Accountant to manage the financial aspects of multiple construction projects. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in budget creation supplier contract oversight and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities:
- Refine current accounting procedures and implement new processes to improve efficiency.
- Manage inventory and financial records using QuickBooks and Builder Trend.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop costeffective budgets for construction jobs.
- Perform accounting duties throughout project lifecycles including estimating cash flow and signing off on purchase orders.
- Analyze transactions identify potential financial risks and update budgets as needed.
- Maintain comprehensive records of project finances for auditing and tax purposes.
- Prepare cost analyses by interpreting financial data and project metrics.
- Report budget discrepancies and financial risks to management.
- Monitor market trends to anticipate constructionrelated price changes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Reconcile monthly inventories and work with the CPA for monthend closings and financial statements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in private or public accounting.
- Strong understanding of construction cost accounting and related financial procedures.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and Builder Trend.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fastpaced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in construction accounting is highly desirable.
- Experience working in a constructionrelated financial role is a plus.
