Job Description
We are seeking a talented and innovative Pastry Chef to join our culinary team in Radlett United Kingdom. As a key member of our kitchen staff you will be responsible for creating delectable pastries and desserts that delight our customers and elevate our dining experience.
- Support the Head Chef and Catering Manager in all aspects of the bakery section
- Supervise the production of highquality pastries and desserts for daily service and special functions
- Manage and train kitchen staff fostering a collaborative and goaloriented work environment
- Complete inventories and food requisitions to ensure optimal stock levels
- Maintain food quality standards and ensure cleanliness of work areas and equipment
- Develop and implement new dessert recipes and presentation techniques
- Collaborate with other kitchen departments to create cohesive menu offerings
- Adhere to and enforce food safety and sanitation standards
- Participate in menu planning and cost control measures
- Stay current with industry trends and incorporate innovative techniques into dessert production
Qualifications :
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification in pastry arts
- Extensive experience as a Pastry Chef preferably in schools contractcatering or highprofile highvolume operations
- Proven track record of creating innovative and visually appealing desserts
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment
- Superior time management and organizational skills
- Creativity and attention to detail in dessert design and presentation
- Proficiency in inventory management and cost control
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and frontofhouse staff
