Job Description
The mission of the position is to guide and supervise all Safety activities in order to meet budget and Safety targets (e.g. optimize fire prevention maximize employee safety and health as well as site security).
- Coordinate all Safety activities for the plant;
- Contribute to strategic and operative planning of the plant (e.g. with respect to investments capacity and headcount planning). Ensure the achievement of Safety targets according to internal and external customer expectations Initiate and implement continuous improvement activities by applying CBS methods and training measures live and promote the Safety principles and methods;
- Initiate and control investments for Safety equipment (e.g. training materials external trainings etc. Conduct employee dialogues personnel development and coaching;
- Represent plant at negotiations with responsible authorities concerning Safety;
- Manage fire brigade (where applicable) as well as plan and implement fire prevention measures according to standards;
- Plan and implement occupational safety (e.g. safety briefings legal obligations hazardous substances management) according to standards;
- Coordinate safety inspection procedures for new plant installations prior to their startup
- Plan and conduct safety audits and compliance measures according to standards;
- Implement external (e.g. ISO 14001 ISO 45001 ISO 50001 and internal (e.g. ESH management manual tools KPIs) ESH standards and legal requirements and provide feedback and input for further development of standards;
- Conduct studies in the workplace to identify and control risks;
- Implement risk management and control techniques;
- Carry out inspections and issue opinions to control the degree of exposure to physical chemical and biological risks etc;
- Advise on the preparation of projects and works to ensure safety;
- Advise on fire protection projects;
- Delimit the dangerous areas;
- Oversee collective protection systems and PPE;
- Follow up on legal regulations and evaluate possible impacts on processes and facilities;
- Ensure that all legally required permits are applied for in due time and that permit conditions are evaluated and implemented and advise plant management;
- Check compliance with legal and internal regulations/standards/processes and implement measures together with local authorities;
- Monitor and advise the expertise process;
- Prepare technical reports and challenges in expert and inspection processes
- Coordinate internal commissions such as CIPA;
- Manage prepare or collaborate with work safety programs such as PPRA PCMAT PGR PPR);
- Plan and implement emergency and crisis management (e.g. fire incidents of damage natural or other exceptional events etc. according to standards;
- Conduct risk analyses and prepare concepts and emergency preparedness plans;
- Ensure structured root cause analyses of incidents analise the definitions (actions propued)showed and check implement.
Qualifications :
- Specialization in Occupational Safety registered with the Regional Council of Engineering;
- Professional experience in Safety area preferably have worked in industrial processes;
- People management experience preferable;
- Fluent English.
