Job Description
Job Summary:
The Senior Network Administrator will be responsible for designing implementing maintaining and supporting the BMCs network infrastructure. The role requires expertise in networking technologies security best practices troubleshooting and performance optimization to ensure a robust and scalable IT environment. The individual will work closely with IT teams and stakeholders to support business objectives and enhance overall network reliability and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design configure and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including LAN WAN VPN and wireless networks.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot complex issues to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime.
- Implement and manage network security measures including firewalls intrusion detection/prevention systems and access controls.
- Oversee the administration of routers switches load balancers and other network devices.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
- Plan and execute network upgrades patches and migrations.
- Develop and maintain network documentation including diagrams configurations and procedures.
- Conduct capacity planning and recommend improvements to optimize network efficiency and scalability.
- Provide support for VoIP video conferencing and unified communication solutions.
- Lead and mentor junior network administrators and IT support staff.
- Coordinate with thirdparty vendors and service providers for networkrelated services and troubleshooting.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning for network infrastructure.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
- Masters or bachelor s degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CCIE CCNP CCNA or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 815 years of experience in network administration and infrastructure management.
- Indepth knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP BGP OSPF EIGRP MPLS VLANs SDWAN etc..
- Handson experience with network security tools firewalls (Fortinet Sophos Palo Alto etc. and VPN technologies.
- Handson experience with network devices and systems from HPE Aruba (Switches Wireless controller ClearPass Airwave)
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco HPE Aruba or other enterprise networking equipment.
- Familiarity with cloud networking (Azure) is a plus.
- Experience with monitoring tools like SolarWinds and OpManager.
- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.
