Job Description

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead Industrial Engineering (IE) functions and projects to achieve overall productivity and quality goals in the PJ plant.
  2. Establish and maintain work standards including implementing standardisation methods to increase operational efficiency.
  3. Conducting motion and time studies to improve operator efficiency and reduce setup times
  4. Optimise work and factory layout i.e. review and improve layouts for all sections and enhance storage and material handling activities to reduce waste and improve safety.
  5. Manage and evaluate work organisation structure. Propose and establish appropriate work organisation for the plant and streamline systems and methods by removing nonvalueadded activities.
  6. Plan and propose overall plant headcounts for variables and conduct manning requirements studies and reengineer utilisation as necessary.
  7. Prepare reports on productivity and efficiency and lead improvement activities and participate in Continental Business Team reviews.
  8. Organise and lead IErelated tasks.  Promote and implement productivity and efficiency initiatives
  9. Support the Companys safety and health policy and ensure compliance with all procedures.

Qualifications :

  • Relevant Tertiary education with recognized degree in industrial/ Manufacturing engineering.
  • Experience in a high volume manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Proven track record of results.
  • Managerial experience in a production environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge in quality management systems.
  • 3 years involvement in project management equivalent.
  • 5 years experience in managing a small to medium group.
  • Working experience with international team will be an advantage.


Additional Information :

  • Knowledge on work standard study method and capability to carry out proper evaluation and analysis.
  • Ability to organize IE tasks carry out assessment and take measures to close the gaps.
  • Knowledge on work and factory layout inclusive of amenities requirements and process flow.
  • Knowledge on work organization structures evaluation & performance measurements.
  • Knowledge on manpower management wages benefits and incentives.
