Job Description
As a Test Tech you would be a key contributor to our overall testing team. Working both with internal and external customers. Following oneoff testing projects from start to finish. Working with test engineers to bring your work to life. You would participate in team and customer meetings to identify requirements specification timelines and customer expectations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Helping engineers/customers when needed.
- Setting up test cells.
- Cleaning/organizing test cells and facilities.
- Building oil conditioning carts.
- Fabricating and/or machining fixturing.
- Keeping workspace clean (shop trash/cans/fab room)
- Keeping cells running after shop hours.
- Maintaining shop inventory.
- Help engineers problem solve.
- Supporting the UTAC culture and values (Integrity Expertise and Innovation).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Education and Skill Requirements:
- Advanced experience with hand tools required.
- Understanding of electrical schematics and drawings preferred.
- 15 years of mechanical work in either automotive or fabrication.
- Familiarity with electric motors pumps and VFDs a plus.
- Ability to work and problem solve on vehicles or ATVs.
- Ability to work handson with mechanical and electrical wiring.
- Fluency in the English language is required.
- Problem solving strategic thinking and analytical skills required.
- Ability to function within a team working cooperatively toward team and individual goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
- Strong time management multitasking and organization skills.
- Strong attention to detail required.
- Consistently exhibit appropriate attendance habits working the hours necessary to perform the job.
- Accept instructions and tasks in a positive manner treating all coworkers with dignity and respect.
- Working knowledge with all Microsoft Office applications and the ability to become proficient in any systems that we use (Concur Kronos etc..
- A valid drivers license required for travel to customer sites picking up parts etc. (Chauffeurs CDL preferred)
- Consistently adhere to and support all UTAC policies procedures and safety regulations
