Job Description
The coop/intern will assist the Industrial Engineering/Lean Team with: continuous improvement visual factory 6S time studies facility layouts kaizen events and other industrial engineering related projects. Available blocks include the spring and/or summer semesters.
Qualifications :
Position Overview
The position will report into and support the Industrial Engineering/Lean Team. In this role the main responsibilities will be:
- Work with Cross Functional Teams to Implement Improvements
- Conduct Process Observations and Time Studies
- Assist with Planning for Facility Layout Changes
- Implement 6S and Visual Factory
- Assist with Value Stream Mapping and Documenting Current State Flows
- Participate in Kaizen Events

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Pursuing a Bachelors or Advanced Degree in Industrial Engineering or Related Discipline
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong Organizational Skills
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Passion for Lean Manufacturing
- Knowledge of AutoCAD
- Previous CoOp/Internship Experience or Previous Work Experience
Additional Information :
For New York the expected salary range for this position is between $18.00 and $26.00 per hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience location and other factors permitted by law.
