Position Overview:
Support the of key R&D NPD projects/programs through collaboration with various functional groups
from concept through to launch. Execute V&V and market support activities to support the launch of new products.
Key Responsibilities:
Degree in Scientific discipline (or equivalent).
Principal Contacts & Purpose of Contact:
Internal – Lab and V&V teams for test method development process development for DFM and user centered design team for
VOC and usability
External – minimal interaction with vendors for prototyping where applicable
Travel Requirements
Position may involve travel up to 15 of the time mostly within Europe but overseas travel is expected. Most trips will include
overnight travel
Languages
Speaking: Yes English*
Writing/Reading: Yes English*
This is a hybrid role with an expectation to be on site at CTEC Deeside to develop prototypes and run experiments as and when
requried

Position Overview:
Support the of key R&D NPD projects/programs through collaboration with various functional groups
from concept through to launch. Execute V&V and market support activities to support the launch of new products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in discussions to resolve technical / scientific challenges to support new product development of
- Ostomy Care medical devices.
- Translate technical performance requirements into verification and validation test plans.
- Facilitate the development of test methods for new performance requirements in conjunction with Laboritories.
- Work with cross functional teams to develop and agree upon appropriate test plans for V&V market support testing.
- Support Research and Development project activities within a Design Control Framework in accordance with ISO 13485 & 21CFR820 Quality Systems for Medical Devices.
- Write technical documents to support Design Control and regulatory submission.
- Contribute to Risk Management activities and other technical assessments.
- Generate data to support theories and designs.
- Provide technical input to support the design control process including contributing to / authoring design history file (DHF) documentation and material specifications.
- Produce high quality scientific reports to support V&V regulatory submissions and market support activities.
- Maintain overall expertise by keeping updated on scientific advancements through publications patents university / industrial contacts and vendor discussions.
- Work with 3rd parties to develop novel research models for V&V and market support activities.
- Promote and develop good working relationships within a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to raise PO’s
- Author of technical documents
- Author of DHF documents
- Experience of relevant materials and processes desirable (flexible films/fabrics/injection molded parts/electromechanical enclosures & assemblies/bonding techniques etc.
- Experience of developing and applying statistical sampling plans during developmentprojects is desirable
- Demonstrable industrial experience with knowledge of the application of the design and development and testing of medical devices.
- Experience in a R&D medical devices environment and design control is required.
- Problem solver: Assess situations & conflicts to identify causes gather and process relevant information generate possible solutions and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem.
- Understand ethical behaviour and business practices
