Job Description
As an Accountant or Senior Accountant you will provide strategic financial insights ensure compliance and lead key accounting processes. Responsibilities include:
- Preparation of accurate and timely financial statements including consolidated reports for multientity organizations.
- Coordinating internal and external audits ensuring all documentation and processes meet regulatory and compliance standards.
- Developing and implementing robust financial controls to safeguard assets and ensure data accuracy.
- Overseeing the monthly quarterly and annual close processes including journal entries reconciliations and variance analysis for clients.
- Preparing detailed financial reports and presentations for clients.
- Driving strategic initiatives to enhance financial reporting processes through automation and innovative solutions.
- Assist in the audit process.
- Assist in tax preparartion and filing.
- Work with generla accounting and bookkeeping functions to include; payroll AR/AP reconciliations general ledger etc.
- Providing mentorship and leadership to junior accountants.
- Collaborating with crossfunctional teams to develop budgets forecasts and longterm financial strategies.
- Staying informed about changes in accounting regulations and best practices applying updates to internal processes and documentation.
Qualifications :
Required Skills Experience and Qualifications
Musthave:
- Bachelors degree in accounting finance or a related field (masters preferred).
- CPA or in the process of obtaining.
- 35 years of progressive professional experience in accounting all within a public accounting/CPA firm.
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP tax regulations and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a proven track record of identifying and resolving financial discrepancies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Nicetohave:
- Expertise in financial modeling and advanced Excel functions.
- Prior experience in audits and ensuring compliance with evolving financial regulations.
- Industryspecific expertise (e.g. healthcare manufacturing nonprofit finance etc..
Success Criteria
