As our Assistant Management Accountant youll be the cornerstone of our financial processes ensuring everything flows smoothly and accurately. Youll be supporting the Group Financial Controller and working closely with the broader finance team getting involved in everything from monthly management accounts to statutory reporting and treasury functions.
What Youll Be Doing (No Grout About It!:
- Group Accounting:
- Help craft monthly management accounts andinsightful reports were talking figures so polished theyll shine brighter than a chrome tap!
- Drive the monthend process with the kind of efficiency that would make a wellfitted pipe proud.
- Get down to the nittygritty with journal entries and variance analysis no detail is too small!
- Statutory Reporting:
- Assist in preparing those allimportant external financial reports including the consolidated financial statements for Victorian Plumbing Group plc.
- Become a vital part of the external audit process working handinhand with our auditors.
- Treasury:
- Ensure all our bank accounts including those in foreign currencies are reconciled with the precision of a perfectly installed shower.
- Play a key role in cash forecasting ensuring our financial faucets are always flowing.
- General Duties:
- Reconcile balance sheet control accounts keeping everything in perfect alignment.
- Strengthen and develop internal controls ensuring our financial framework is as robust as our bathroom suites.
- Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to support senior management decisions think of yourself as the financial architect of our success!
- Business partner with key stakeholders and help enhance our understanding while supporting the wider organisation.
What Were Looking For (The Essential Kit):
- A burning desire to pursue a recognised accounting qualification well help you BOSS your exams!
- Experience in technical financial accounting and reporting (desired but not essential) were happy to develop the right candidate.
- Advanced IT skills especially in Microsoft Excel youll be our spreadsheet saviour.
- Selfmotivation and a proactive approach we need someone who can turn the tap on their own initiative.
- Exceptional problemsolving skills able to unblock any financial drain.
- Excellent communication skills able to explain complex financial data in a way thats as clear as a crystalclear shower screen.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to learn quickly youll need to be adaptable.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
