Job Description

The Quality Assurance Manager will be managing and implementing the quality management and quality improvement programs for BIH. He/she shall oversee quality assurance and compliance functions and ensure programs and services are implemented at the highest standards and patients receive the highest level of care.

The Quality Assurance Manager shall be responsible for monitoring and updating policies and procedures to include regulatory changes. The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing the quality management and quality improvement programs for the healthcare facility.
  • Directs quality assurance and compliance functions.
  • Ensures that policies and initiatives are efficient meet patient expectations and are updated to reflect regulatory changes.
  • Creates functional strategies and specific objectives and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.
  • Entails deep knowledge of the function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental functions.
  • Coordinates under the directions of the CEO with medical staff and other departments to ensure hospitals quality assurance.
  • Monitoring the proportion of boardcertified physicians available to patients which correlates to quality of care.
  • Encouraging preventive care and wellness programs to avert illness and improve the health of those already diagnosed with a disease.
  • Tracking patient outcomes (measured by complications readmissions and mortality) to link therapies and policies to efficacy.

Qualifications :

MBBS/MSc Nursing QMS Lead Auditor Qualification Quality Internal Audit Course and MBA would be preferred and considered as an additional qualification.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role & must be aware of PHC ISO Certification JCI standards & implementation.


Additional Information :

Skills & Knowledge: 

  • Indepth knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations institutional rules personnel management and medical records management as well as healthcare operations.

  • Skilled at integrating data and identifying the mostrelevant elements.

  • Auditing and monitoring experience would be considered.

  • Must have knowledge about Quality Management System Standards e.g. ISO 9001:2015 JCIA2014

  • International Guidelines Auditing Protocols and Hospital Legal Requirements and have Excellent Technical Planning Interpersonal Communication Problem Solving Team working skills Excellent report writing Statistical Analysis Microsoft Excel PowerPoint and Ms. Word.

  • Must also be able to communicate findings clearly in discussions as well as through detailed analytical reports.

  • Certified nursing and CPR qualifications.
