Expertise in computer science fundamentals and adopt to new technologies quickly.
In depth knowledge of any ETL platform.
Hands on experience on installations; upgrades; monitoring; architectural assessment(like design; system health; server sizing; capacity planning; etc) along with troubleshooting for Server platforms.
Strong knowledge of SQL; Dimensional modelling; Hadoop (Hive; Spark; etc) and RDBMS concepts with query analysis & optimisation.
Ability to define Installation and configuration of the Application Software; Coordinate/Plan & Execute activities related to platform maintenance.
Indepth knowledge of handling Disaster Recovery; High Availability and Software release management.
In depth knowledge of Python; PowerShell; REST API and ability to automate repetitive manual tasks like housekeeping; administrative tasks; governance; etc.
Understanding of GDPR concepts and ability to architect the platform by taking into account on multiple personas like Access management; Asset Management; Data Retention; Data Transfer (with Encryption); Data Minimisation; Privacy & Security; Availability & Integrity.
Understanding of related systems/concepts like SSL; LDAP; OAuth; Kerberos; SAML; Active Directory; VMware.
Knowledge of other Data Integration & Management tools; Tableau and Hadoop/Teradata/Postgres data warehouses is a plus.
Ability to research on new/emerging tools and technologies in business intelligence area and evaluation of current tools with latest version in market.
Understanding of agile methodology or Kanban framework.
Ability to understand the market and business requirements and keep evolving the platform and solutions
Expertise in producing the clear technical documentation of platform and process architecture.
Expertise on handling different aspects of testing including Unit; integration; functional and performance testing.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools like NewRelic; Splunk; BigPanda; Airflow; Chef; Jenkins is a plus.
Knowledge of Source control management such as GitHub or Subversion is a plus.
Working knowledge of both Windows and Linux OS including knowledge of PowerShell/Shell scripting.
Basic understanding of networking concepts would be a plus.
Understanding of various aspects of data security and classifications (PII/PCI etc). Understanding of server hardening.
Ability to own and deliver on the requirements with minimal/no assistance.
Ability to work equally comfortably with business users and other development and platform teams.
Ability to identify solutions that improve quality of service and reduce operational & support activities.
