Quality Assurance Engineer

Roles and responsibilities

JASARA PMC is seeking a proactive Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the highest quality standards in our projects. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing quality assurance processes, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams to identify potential quality risks and provide solutions that enhance project delivery. Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement quality assurance protocols and procedures based on project requirements
Conduct audits and inspections of materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with project specifications
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure quality standards are integrated effectively throughout the project
Document and report quality assessments, non-conformance issues, and corrective actions taken
Lead quality training sessions and workshops to promote quality awareness within project teams
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to quality management practices
Stay informed of industry trends and changes to relevant legislation and standards
Quality Planning and Strategy Development
Developing QA Plans: Create detailed quality assurance plans that outline the testing approach, scope, resources, timeline, and methodologies used to ensure product quality.
Defining Quality Standards: Work with stakeholders to define quality standards and benchmarks based on customer requirements, regulatory guidelines, and industry best practices.
Quality Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality, such as defect density, failure rate, and customer satisfaction, to evaluate the effectiveness of QA processes.
Test Planning and
Test Case Creation: Design, develop, and document test cases and test scripts based on product specifications, requirements, and use cases.
Manual and Automated Testing: Execute both manual and automated tests to identify defects, performance issues, or potential improvements in the product.
Functional and Non-Functional Testing: Perform functional testing (ensuring the product does what it is supposed to do) and non-functional testing (evaluating performance, scalability, and security).
Test Environment Setup: Set up and configure test environments that simulate real-world scenarios and validate the functionality of the product under different conditions.

Desired candidate profile

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field
At least 10 years of experience in quality assurance in the construction industry
Strong understanding of quality management systems and methodologies
Experience with ISO standards and quality audits preferred
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders
Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is advantageous
Defect Detection and Reporting
Defect Identification: Identify defects, bugs, or issues in the product and document them with clear reproduction steps, severity, and impact assessments.
Bug Tracking: Log defects into a defect tracking system (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) and ensure that they are addressed promptly by development teams.
Collaboration with Developers: Collaborate with developers to understand the root cause of defects, discuss possible solutions, and retest fixed issues.
Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure that new changes do not introduce new defects or break existing functionality.
Quality Assurance Documentation
Test Documentation: Document detailed test results, including information about the test environment, test steps, defects found, and test coverage.
Reporting: Prepare and present quality reports to management, highlighting the status of testing activities, defect trends, and overall product quality.
Traceability Matrix: Maintain a traceability matrix to ensure that all requirements have corresponding test cases and that testing has covered all functional areas of the product.
