Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

JASARA PMC is seeking a highly skilled Senior HSE Trainer to join our team. As the Senior HSE Trainer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive training programs to ensure the highest levels of health, safety, and environmental compliance across our organization. Your expertise in HSE training methodologies and regulations will play a vital role in educating and empowering our employees and contractors to maintain a safe and secure work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop HSE training programs, materials, and resources based on industry best practices, regulations, and company requirements
  • Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions to employees and contractors at all levels, ensuring comprehension and application of HSE principles
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and changes in HSE regulations, and update training materials and programs accordingly
  • Conduct training needs assessments to identify knowledge gaps and develop targeted training solutions
  • Work closely with project teams and HSE managers to integrate training into project plans and ensure consistency in implementation
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback, and make necessary improvements to the training programs
  • Coordinate with external training providers and subject matter experts to deliver specialized training courses when needed
  • Maintain training records, certifications, and documentation, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations
  • Drive continuous learning and improvement by conducting regular training evaluations and identifying areas for enhancement

Desired candidate profile

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Education, or a related field
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in HSE training, preferably within the construction or engineering industry
Proven experience in designing and delivering HSE training programs and materials
Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices
Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills
Ability to engage and interact with diverse audiences
Proficient in the use of training tools and technologies
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Professional certifications in training and/or HSE (e.g., TTT, NEBOSH) are preferred
Fluency in English, Arabic language skills are desirable
Design and Deliver HSE Training Programs
Create Training Materials: Develop, update, and customize training materials, including presentations, manuals, handouts, and e-learning modules, based on the specific needs of the organization and regulatory requirements.
Conduct Training Sessions: Lead training sessions on topics such as workplace safety, risk management, emergency response procedures, first aid, personal protective equipment (PPE), fire safety, hazardous materials handling, and environmental protection.
Onboarding and Induction Training: Provide health, safety, and environmental induction training to new employees to ensure they understand safety protocols and company policies from day one.
Refresher Courses: Deliver refresher training programs to ensure employees stay up-to-date with evolving safety standards, procedures, and regulations.
Compliance with Regulations and Standards
Stay Current with Legislation: Stay informed about changes in health, safety, and environmental laws, industry standards, and best practices to ensure training programs comply with local, national, and international regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA, ISO standards).
Monitor and Report Compliance: Monitor employee adherence to safety regulations and company policies. Conduct audits or assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of training and identify areas for improvement.
Ensure Regulatory Requirements are Met: Ensure that the organization complies with safety training requirements mandated by governing bodies, such as OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) or local safety authorities.
