Document Clerk
Our client in the insurance industry is looking for a detailoriented professional to support critical document processing operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring the efficient handling of incoming mail preparing documents for digital imaging and accurately routing them to the appropriate business areas including Individual Life Wealth Management and Group Services. Beyond sorting and scanning this position involves troubleshooting imaging issues maintaining workflow efficiency and ensuring timely processing to meet service level agreements. Fulltime position: 37.50 hours per week.

Responsibilities:
Open prepare and sort incoming mail for digital imaging and processing.
Analyze document content to determine the appropriate business area and work type.
Apply tracking methodology for specific mail streams and processes.
Operate highspeed scanners and troubleshoot minor hardware/software issues.
Monitor workflow queues and resolve imaging issues directed from Business Unit processing areas.
Maintain a steady workflow while prioritizing tasks to meet service level agreements.
Provide quality control and ensure accuracy in document processing.
Deliver excellent customer service and act as a liaison between Office Services and Business Units.
Lift and transport mail/documents weighing up to 20 lbs.
What you will need to succeed:
1 year of administrative or clerical work experience.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy to ensure proper sorting tracking and imaging of documents.
Ability to handle confidential information responsibly due to the sensitive nature of business documents.
Excellent customer service skills to act as a liaison between Office Services and Business Units.
Strong ability to work independently and within a team to manage workload efficiently.
Capability to manage fluctuating work volumes and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Experience operating office equipment and troubleshooting minor hardware/software issues to maintain workflow efficiency.
Experience in mailing services (e.g. UPS Canada Post) is an asset for handling document processing and logistics.
Knowledge of AWD CICS Lotus Notes IAS Compass or InfoDirect is an advantage for workflow tracking and processing.
Ability to recognize a wide variety of documents to correctly assign them to the appropriate business units.
This position requires a strong command of English both written and spoken as all work is conducted in this language.
Bilingualism in English and French is an asset for processing documents in both languages and supporting teams that communicate with bilingual clients.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Effective communication to coordinate with internal teams and resolve imaging issues.
