The goal of the team is to provide internal products tools services and frameworks to enable Product teams to focus on customer needs instead of tooling. We work closely with the Product teams to increase their productivity and speed up software delivery.
You will report to the Head of Product Platform and manage a team focusing on project success and the professional development of your team members.
Role
We are seeking a strategic leader to join our company as the Engineering Manager for the Frontend Platform Team within the Product Platform area. The Frontend Platform Teams mission is to provide Product Teams with frontend tools that simplify and accelerate the development process (currently with a particular focus on building modular frontends a.k.a microfrontends). Daily we develop a suite of tools automations standards and guides that enhance the developer experience improve consistency and facilitate rapid experimentation. The team delivers solutions using a platformasaproduct approach and manages processes from discovery to delivery.
What you will be doing
Managing the team
Lead a team of 3 to 5 senior software engineers with the potential for future expansion.
Facilitates the technical decision in the proper direction that meets the requirements.
Work closely with the Staff Engineers to develop an accurate technological strategy.
Facilitate communication within the team and across different departments to ensure alignment on project goals and objectives.
Managing the project
Develop project scopes and objectives involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
Act as a handson project manager and people leader throughout the process.
Ensure that all projects are delivered on time within scope and budget.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders tech leaders product managers and legal and security teams.
Develop people
Provide guidance mentorship and coaching inside the team.
Provide regular feedback to team members and help them set and achieve personal career goals.
Regularly assess the performance of team members.
Foster a team culture that values collaboration innovation and inclusivity.
Qualifications :
What will help you thrive
Experience in team building and leadership with excellent mentorship and coaching skills.
Proven experience as a leader in similar team context Frontend Platform.
You have worked in distributed frontend systems you understand the challenges and opportunities they present.
Strong technological background.
You possess strong project management skills and have experience managing projects endtoend ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Growth mindset: nobody ticks all those boxes above but a willingness to learn is strongly valued here.
