I. General Summary
Under the supervision of the Chief Legal & Risk Officer and/or Deputy General Counsel the paralegal ensures compliance with company secretarial and corporate housekeeping matters with a strong emphasis on leases and insurance documentation. The role involves managing lease agreements reviewing preparing and monitoring insurance policies and ensuring all related documents are properly archived.
The paralegal shall support all IBC markets by reviewing and managing lease agreements insurance contracts and ensuring that all necessary documentation complies with corporate and legal requirements.
II. Qualification Requirements
- A bachelors degree in the arts or sciences
- At least four years of experience in paralegal work
- Proficient in English and MS Office
- Aboveaverage organizational and communications skills
III. Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures that all group companies comply with corporate secretarial requirements in all markets and corporate housekeeping requirements are met; draft DRIWs and MRIWs for all group companies in the regular course of business and circulate the same upon the approval of
- Lease Management: Review prepare and maintain all lease agreements for IBC companies ensuring compliance with all legal requirements. Oversee lease renewals terminations and amendments ensuring proper documentation and approval are obtained from all relevant stakeholders.
- Insurance Documentation: Manage insurance policies ensuring that coverage is up to date and accurately reflects the companys needs. Assist in reviewing insurance contracts coordinating renewals and maintaining records of insurance policies.
- Ensure compliance with corporate secretarial requirements for all group companies in all markets including maintaining corporate housekeeping records.
- Draft DRIWs and MRIWs for all group companies circulating them for approval and signature from legal counsel.
- Review standard form agreements ensuring they align with approved terms and conditions. Confirm that all departmental commercial approvals are secured from decisionmakers before releasing documents for .
- Secure and record the counterpartys representative information including name designation and email address. Confirm the of documents to key stakeholders and ensure that all executed documents are properly recorded and archived.
- Manage the franchise agreement renewal process documenting necessary concessions from concerned IBC departments (including but not limited to Finance and Operations Support) and endorsing them to legal counsel for further action.
