Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Team Lead to oversee the development implementation and maintenance of enterpriselevel cards and payments systems within our bank. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in payment systems card management and digital banking solutions coupled with proven leadership skills to manage a team of IT professionals. A strategic thinker capable of aligning technology solutions with business objectives to ensure seamless and secure payment processing for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership:

  • Lead mentor and manage a team of IT professionals including developers analysts and support staff.

  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment ensuring high performance and professional growth.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews set objectives and provide feedback to team members.

2. Project Management:

  • Oversee the endtoend delivery of IT projects related to cards and payments systems ensuring ontime within scope and within budget completion.

  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including business stakeholders product managers and vendors to define project requirements and deliverables.

  • Manage project risks issues and dependencies ensuring timely resolution and escalation.

3. System Development & Maintenance:

  • Design develop and maintain enterpriselevel cards and payments systems ensuring high availability scalability and security.

  • Monitor system performance troubleshoot issues and implement improvements to optimize functionality and user experience.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards regulatory requirements and best practices in payment processing and data security.

4. Strategic Planning:

  • Work closely with senior management to define the IT roadmap for cards and payments aligning technology initiatives with business goals.

  • Identify emerging trends and technologies in the payments industry recommending innovative solutions to enhance the bank s competitive edge.

  • Drive the adoption of agile methodologies and DevOps practices to improve delivery efficiency and quality.

5. Vendor & Stakeholder Management:

  • Manage relationships with thirdparty vendors ensuring timely delivery of products and services.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including business units risk management and compliance teams to align IT priorities and deliverables.

  • Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) with vendors to ensure costeffectiveness and operational excellence.

6. Compliance & Security:

  • Ensure all cards and payments systems comply with PCIDSS GDPR and local banking regulations.

  • Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive customer data and prevent fraud.

  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.




Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.

  • A Master s degree is a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 710 years of experience in IT with at least 35 years in a leadership role within the banking or financial services industry.

  • Proven experience in managing enterpriselevel cards and payments systems (e.g. card management systems payment gateways digital wallets.

  • Strong knowledge of payment processing standards protocols and technologies (e.g. ISO 8583 EMV NFC tokenization.

  • Experience with cloudbased payment solutions and API integrations is highly desirable.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as .Net Java Python or C#.

  • Familiarity with database management systems (e.g. Oracle SQL Server.

  • Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices (e.g. Jenkins Docker Kubernetes.

  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
