Job Description
HIL is seeking a Platform Engineer to join our Cybersecurity and Technical Infrastructure team and play a pivotal role in ensuring our operations scale with the business while remaining secure.
Within the Cybersecurity and Technical Infrastructure team your mission will be to design and implement secure infrastructure and operations solutions across our cloud environments with a focus on creating a safe space in which streamaligned teams can be empowered to own the endtoend responsibilities of building maintaining and operating their technical systems.
As we evolve to embrace modern programming practices our focus remains on elevating and refining engineering tooling and processes to enable highperforming teams. The ideal candidate will:
- Demonstrate a bias for action and the ability to prioritise highimpact work balancing value delivery with smart technical decisions
- Be motivated about working on projects that result in secure and operational systems that can rapidly scale
- Be highly collaborative happy to jump into huddles and solve problems upfront but equally able to work independently where suitable
- Be a clear communicator with a proficiency for simplifying complex topics
- Demonstrate strong written and visual technical design and documentation skills
- Demonstrable professional experience with strong programming fundamentals
Qualifications :
- Strong knowledge of AWS and GCP fundamentals and commonly used services including compute DNS routing networking access management resource provisioning and management
- Experience with cloud security including network segregation resource policies account/project and organisational security
- Experience configuring and/or managing commercial WAFs eg Cloudflare or Akamai
- Experience developing security policies and controls for protecting web applications and APIs
- Experience with infrastructure as code including Terraform or AWS CDK
- Experience working with and designing scalable resilient and secure systems
- Highly advantageous:
- Experience with security tooling and processes e.g. SAST DAST CNAPP SIEM
