Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Computer Science Department managing a team of passionate and skilled educators and driving the departments success across KS3 to KS5.
• Develop and implement an innovative and engaging curriculum ensuring students gain a deep understanding of computer science principles including programming systems design and digital technologies.
• Inspire and motivate students by delivering highquality lessons that stimulate interest in technology and encourage critical thinking and problemsolving skills.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to ensure all students achieve their full potential both in lessons and through extracurricular activities.
• Foster a positive inclusive and stimulating learning environment that encourages creativity collaboration and the development of independent learning.
• Oversee extracurricular activities such as coding clubs hackathons and technology competitions further enriching students passion for computer science and innovation.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and other departments to integrate digital literacy and technology across the curriculum and enhance the overall educational experience.

About You:

To be considered for this role you will need:

• A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• A formal teaching qualification with QTS (e.g. PGCE).
• Proven leadership experience in managing a Computer Science department or teaching experience at KS3 to KS5 with a focus on delivering an engaging curriculum.
• Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to lead a team and inspire both students and staff.
• A passion for technology and innovation with a commitment to providing students with the skills they need to succeed in an increasingly digital world.
• A proactive approach to fostering a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
