Job Description
We are a leading consultancy office based in Qatar providing worldclass engineering solutions for a wide range of projects. With a reputation for excellence we offer our clients toptier services across various sectors including commercial residential and infrastructure development. We are now looking to expand our team with a Mechanical Draftsman who has solid design experience working in a consultancy office setting.
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Draftsman to join our team in Qatar. The ideal candidate must have 8 to 10 years of design experience in a consultancy office. You will be responsible for preparing detailed mechanical drawings (design and IFC) collaborating on MEP (Mechanical Electrical Plumbing) coordination and ensuring designs comply with local authorities codes and standards. Your role will be integral in creating precise mechanical systems designs for our various projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed mechanical drawings including both design and IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings for diverse projects.
- Ensure that all designs comply with relevant reference codes and standards for authorities design submission including KM QCDD Ashgal etc.
- Create accurate and comprehensive Bill of Quantities (BOQs) for different mechanical disciplines.
- Develop coordinated MEP drawings ensuring proper integration with other trades and disciplines.
- Work closely with project engineers architects and other team members to ensure seamless design integration.
- Review and revise drawings based on feedback from project teams ensuring design accuracy.
- Maintain and update all projectrelated design documentation and revisions.
Requirements
Key Requirements:
- A Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Must have 8 to 10 years of design experience in a consultancy office. - Proficient in preparing detailed mechanical drawings including both design and IFC drawings.
- Indepth knowledge of local reference codes and standards for authorities design submission (KM QCDD Ashgal etc..
- Skilled in preparing BOQs for different mechanical disciplines.
- Expertise in creating coordinated MEP drawings integrating mechanical electrical and plumbing systems.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant mechanical drafting software.
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems design principles and industry standards.
- Ability to wcoork collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure designs meet client needs and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail ensuring highquality work and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal to liaise effectively with teams and clients.

Education
