Job Description
The Global Business Optimisation (GBO) team mission as part of the Client Services (CS) organization is to turn massive amounts of data into actionable insights that drive business value while working closely with Visas stakeholders to build creative solutions. Our Advance Data Analytics and Insights analysts are experts in data coding payment processing (including authorization and authentication) and creative thinking. We couple indepth analysis of cardholder behaviour with Visas worldclass products to address meaningful business problems.
In this role the analyst interprets and manage data to solve complex problems utilizing skills in data extraction preprocessing cleaning visualization and the use of tools like python and Tableau. They are actively involved with all other teams in CS supporting and developing new insights that help create manage and deliver actionable insights to both internal and external stakeholders.
Specific activities may include:
- Data extraction: using your payment knowledge you will be responsible for extracting the correct data from numerous databases.
- Data cleaning: perform data preprocessing including cleaning and transforming data into usable information.
- Data analysis: apply payments knowledge to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- Data validation: validate data extracted by you and others in the team to control data quality/ reliability.
- Data visualization: develop visualizations to make complex analyses accessible to a broad audience.
- Provide analytical and support about platforms tools and data to internal stakeholders including delivering SME training.
- Maintain highly strategic reports.
- Work with a panEuropean team and contribute to local and global projects across Visa.
- Work in a Big Data environment with its technical challenges.
- Be an outofthebox thinker who is passionate about brainstorming and implementing innovative ways to use our unique data to answer business problems.
- Keen interest in working with a team of experts data analysts to create Advance Analytics e.g.: training and deploying Machine Learning models developing statistical analysis etc.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD or PhD) in a relevant field
- 12 years of working experience in a relevant field
- A genuine passion for data and about the payments ecosystem.
- Intermediate to advance level skills in using data analysis tools and software. Excel SQL Python and Tableau.
- Proficient in all MS Office applications.
- Confidence working in a high pace and dynamic environment following several
- work streams at the same time.
- Experience in a corporate environment with databased decisionmaking or quantitative analysis.
- Ability to turn complex data subjects into easily understandable concepts.
- Desirable
- Strong verbal written and interpersonal skills (fluency in English is required while knowledge of an additional European language is a plus).
- Experience of creating business value from data.
- Knowledge of authorisation and/ or authentication processing.
