Job Description
Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician (Allied)
Location: Rochester NY 14626
Pay Rate: $16/hr
Duration: 13 Weeks Contract
Guaranteed Hours: 40
Shift: 8hr Eve; 2:00pm10:30pm
Description / Comment:
- Call required approx. every 3rd weekend sat 8ammon 8am
- Process instrumentation from OR and Off Sites
Key Responsibilities:
- Decontaminate and clean surgical instruments and equipment.
- Inspect instruments for damage cleanliness and functionality.
- Assemble and package instrument trays and sets according to established protocols.
- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment including autoclaves.
- Monitor and document sterilization processes to ensure compliance with standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (e.g. CRCST or CBSPD) preferred.
- Previous experience in sterile processing or a related field is an asset.
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques equipment and infection control standards.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
