Responsibilities:
- Design bridge structures using advanced engineering software and techniques
- Conduct site inspections to assess the condition of existing bridges
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop project plans
- Prepare detailed project reports and documentation
- Ensure compliance with local state and federal regulations
- Perform structural analysis and load calculations
- Develop cost estimates and project budgets
- Supervise construction activities and provide technical guidance
- Review and approve material specifications and construction drawings
- Coordinate with contractors and other stakeholders
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures
- Utilize innovative materials and technologies to improve bridge design
- Participate in public consultations and address community concerns
- Manage project timelines and adjust plans as necessary
- Ensure quality control through regular testing and inspections
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. Masters degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is an advantage
- Minimum of 3 5 years of experience in bridge engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Experience with advanced structural analysis software
- Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools
- Project management certification (e.g. PMP)
- Experience in seismic design and analysis
- Strong knowledge of environmental impact assessments
- Advanced understanding of bridge rehabilitation techniques
- Proven track record of managing largescale infrastructure projects
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD STAAD or similar engineering software
- Indepth knowledge of industry standards and regulations
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong organizational and timemanagement skills
- Ability to perform fieldwork and site inspections
- Valid drivers license
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
