Industry Expert Retail

We are in search of a dynamic and visionary Retail Chief Technology Officer to join our team a knowledgeable industry expert with a profound focus on transformative initiatives within the Retail space. The ideal candidate will possess a remarkable track record of driving strategic growth by fostering relationships within the Csuite illustrating the value of crossproduct and platform initiatives and boasting extensive experience within the retail domain. This multifaceted role demands exceptional leadership prowess an indepth comprehension of market trends industry challenges and opportunity for retailers and the knack for recognising and seizing transformational business opportunities. Proficiency in procuring and managing Software as a Service (SAAS) environments within the retail sector is a definite asset for this role. Additionally prior experience working in a retailer would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the retail industry including key trends challenges and opportunities.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to our retail clients providing insights and recommendations on how to leverage ServiceNows solutions to achieve their business objectives.
• Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive business development strategy specifically targeting transformational initiatives within the retail industry
• Cultivate and nurture robust relationships with key stakeholders including clients partners and influential figures within the industry.
• Identify which key industry events ServiceNow should have a presence at and work with the marketing team on building out that presence as well as creating new impactful customer events and building a community of retail customers
• Identify prospective business opportunities and cultivate strategic partnerships to bolster the companys growth objectives leveraging insights into market dynamics and industry trends.
• Conduct exhaustive market research and analysis to uncover emerging trends and transformative opportunities within the industry landscape.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to refine the companys value proposition and devise innovative solutions to address market demands.
• Monitor market trends competitive landscapes and customer feedback to inform strategic decisionmaking and enhance business development efforts.
• Stay current with industry developments and continuously update knowledge and skills to remain a thought leader in the retail sector.
• Collaborate closely with the executive team to delineate and execute the companys overarching growth strategy integrating transformational initiatives.

Qualifications :

To be successful in this role applicants would usually need to demonstrate

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the retail industry with a strong track record of success in a similar role.
• Deep understanding of retail industry trends challenges and opportunities.
• Proven ability to develop and execute gotomarket strategies and drive business growth.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts to a wide range of audiences.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to think strategically and creatively.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with ServiceNow or similar enterprise software solutions.
• Established network of contacts within the retail industry.
• Experience working with crossfunctional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
