History Teacher
Leatherhead
A superb opportunity for a dedicated History Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Leatherhead. This is a fulltime permanent position within a supportive and successful History department.
The Role:
As a History Teacher at this school you will be responsible for:
- Planning and delivering engaging and challenging History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. Key Stage 5 (ALevel) experience is desirable but not essential.
- Differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
- Creating a positive classroom.
- Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.
- Maintaining accurate student records.
- Collaborating with colleagues within the History department.
- Contributing to curriculum development.
- Communicating effectively with parents/guardians.
- Upholding the schools safeguarding policies.
- The History Teacher will play a vital role.
The Ideal Candidate:
The successful History Teacher will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching History at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- A genuine passion for History and a commitment to student success.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- A collaborative approach to teamwork.
- A dedication to continuous professional development.
