Job Description

Position: Year 2 Teacher

Location: Hounslow
Salary: MPS / UPS
Start Date: February 2025

The Role:
We are looking for a dedicated creative and motivated Year 2 teacher to join our team immediately. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher or a newly qualified teacher (NQT) who is eager to make a real difference in the lives of young learners. You will be responsible for delivering highquality lessons nurturing pupil development and working closely with other staff to ensure the success and wellbeing of your class.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging differentiated lessons in line with the Year 2 curriculum.
  • Create a positive and stimulating learning environment where children feel safe valued and motivated.
  • Monitor and assess pupils progress providing feedback and support to ensure all children achieve their best.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils parents and colleagues fostering a collaborative approach to learning and development.
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies promoting positive behaviour and respect.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school including extracurricular activities and school events.
  • Work as part of a team to develop and improve school practices ensuring the best outcomes for pupils.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching in Key Stage 1 preferably Year 2.
  • A good understanding of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Passion for working with young children and supporting their learning journey.
  • High expectations of yourself and your students with a focus on raising standards and achievement.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
