Our apps Bring! and Profital are used in millions of households to organize daily shopping discover new delicious recipes and find the best local deals. We help brands and retailers reach their customers with the most relevant advertising platform to showcase and promote their products at the right time: during the planning and execution of their household shopping.
Responsibilities
We are looking for a motivated Senior Backend Engineer to support our team. You will have the unique opportunity to join us in a strong growth phase and be responsible for all backendrelated topics using the latest technologies on AWS. The role includes the following:
- Together with your colleagues you are responsible for the Bring! backend services and infrastructure on AWS
- You implement new features perform code reviews and keep the backend architecture and infrastructure uptodate
- You support the product manager in requirement engineering in sprint planning and in coordinating testing and releases
- As a senior engineer you teach and coach others identify areas of improvement and propose suitable measures
- You are an active part of the engineering team contribute to learning activities and help improving our engineering process
Requirements
At Bring! Labs we have high ambitions and the vision to change the way our customers communicate with consumers. To meet our expectations your skills and experience should be as follows:
- Experience implementing REST API based backends
- Experience with Java (Kotlin is a plus) and Spring Boot based backends
- Familiar with common SQL and NoSQL databases
- Familiar with deploying and managing a cloudbased backend (its a bonus if youve already worked with AWS)
- Familiarity with the common tool ecosystem for development testing debugging and performance benchmarking (IntelliJ Gradle Git Jenkins Postman)
- You are experienced in clientserver backend and integration architectures and you are able to take a generalist view of the whole platform
- You are a seasoned professional with good people and communicationskills capable of demonstrating technical leadership
- You are fluent in both written and spoken English its a bonus if you speak German
