Project Engineer Clean Fuels & Power Generation
Location: Remote (Home Office) with Potential Field Assignments
Rate: Negotiable
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support fossil fuel projects focused on wastetoenergy combined cycle simple cycle cogeneration and conventional plant conversion. This role spans concept development to final commissioning requiring coordination with multiple stakeholders managing thirdparty engineering firms and ensuring compliance with safety environmental and technical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead engineering activities for multiple power generation projects.
- Develop conceptual designs project scope and technical specifications.
- Manage thirdparty engineering consultants EPC contractors and suppliers.
- Ensure safety environmental and regulatory compliance in all designs.
- Conduct costbenefit analysis schedule optimization and contract reviews.
- Oversee equipment/material compliance design quality and field inspections.
- Provide technical support throughout project execution including construction and startup phases.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical preferred).
- 10 years of experience in combined cycle simple cycle cogeneration or CHP plants.
- Strong expertise in engineering design project management and contractor oversight.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in wastetoenergy plants and conventional plant conversions.
- Proficiency in engineering software (Epsilon HYSIS etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Field experience in major power plant construction.
