Job Description
Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant
Facility: Wallingford Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center
Address: 115 S Providence Rd Wallingford PA 19086 United States
Contract: 13 weeks (Extension based on performance and facility needs)
Shift: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $40/hr on W2
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide rehabilitative care to patients in a skilled nursing setting. The PTA will assist in implementing treatment plans monitoring patient progress and ensuring quality therapeutic interventions to improve mobility and overall function.
Responsibilities:- Assist the Physical Therapist in carrying out treatment plans for patients.
- Provide handson therapy exercises and mobility training as prescribed.
- Educate patients and families on therapy techniques for continued progress.
- Monitor and document patient response to treatment and report findings to the Physical Therapist.
- Ensure compliance with facility protocols and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of patient progress and therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Active state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience.
- BLS Certificate.
