Job Description

A welcoming and thriving primary school in Harrow is seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Teacher to join their team on a fulltime permanent basis starting in April 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant early years setting providing highquality education and care for young children in their crucial early years of development.

The Role:

  • Delivering highquality early years education in the Nursery ensuring children are engaged motivated and progressing in their development.
  • Planning and delivering stimulating playbased learning experiences that support childrens development across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Supporting children in their social emotional and cognitive development fostering independence and preparing them for the transition into Reception.
  • Creating a positive safe and nurturing environment ensuring children feel secure valued and ready to explore.
  • Collaborating with other Nursery staff to plan assess and deliver engaging activities that meet the needs of every child.
  • Regularly assessing childrens progress setting individual targets and providing constructive feedback to parents and the wider team.
  • Encouraging the involvement of parents in their childs learning maintaining regular communication and building positive relationships.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant early years qualification (e.g. EYTS Level 3 in Childcare and Education).
  • Experience teaching in a Nursery or Early Years setting with a strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
  • Passionate about early years education and creating engaging inclusive learning experiences for young children.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with children parents and colleagues.
  • A creative and energetic approach to teaching with the ability to inspire young learners.
  • A caring and compassionate individual who is dedicated to providing the best possible start in education for children.
