Job Description
Eatalys cheese department is home to 500 of the highest quality cheeses specially sourced from Italy internationally and locally. Many of the cheeses are entirely exclusive to Eataly.
At Eataly a Cheese and Salumi Artisan is also known as a Cheesmonger.
A Cheesemonger prepares packages receives and stocks product. A Cheesemonger has passion for cheese and the ability to share that passion with Eatalys guests. Functionally reports to the Fresh Market Manager.
- Assists guests with cheese selection and shares knowledge of products
- Weighs labels and packages products and completes food preparation in a timely manner
- Ensures counter and display refrigerators neatly and accurately as per the pricing menu and promptly informs management when food quantities or supplies are low
- Merchandizes displays attractively and rotates products per quality and First In First Out (FIFO) standards
- Cleans work station thoroughly
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
Qualifications :
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Basic knife skills
- Knowledge of cheese highly preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Job Requirements
- Availability to work a flexible schedule including weekends
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to exert wellpaced mobility for up to 8 hours including standing walking bending and squatting
- Ability to use commercial equipment including scales packaging machinery and a cash register
