Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

Manage operational risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend controls.
Refine Audit Procedures by Collaborating with leadership to improve audit procedures and reduce risks.
Create a comprehensive operations audit plan aligned with the annual audit.
Oversee operations audits and ensure support for the internal audit team.
Work with operational teams to implement audit findings and address risks.
Communicate Audit Result key findings and recommendations from operations audits for informed decisions
Assist with Operational Audits
Audit Planning and Preparation: Assist in planning and preparing for operational audits by gathering relevant documents, process flowcharts, and internal control systems related to the areas under review.
Conduct Fieldwork: Participate in conducting operational audits by evaluating processes, procedures, and systems across various business functions such as finance, HR, supply chain, and IT.
Test Processes and Procedures: Test the effectiveness of operational processes, internal controls, and compliance with established policies to ensure they meet organizational and regulatory standards.
Identify Inefficiencies: Assess whether the organization's operations are being conducted efficiently and whether there are opportunities for cost savings or process improvements.
Data Collection and Analysis
Gather Data: Collect data through interviews, observations, document reviews, and data analysis to understand operational processes.
Analyze Performance: Evaluate operational performance metrics to identify trends, inefficiencies, and risks that could impact the organization’s ability to meet its objectives.
Review Documentation: Examine company records, contracts, policies, and operational procedures to assess compliance and effectiveness.

Compliance and Risk Management
Compliance Evaluation: Ensure that operational activities comply with organizational policies, external regulations, and industry standards.
Risk Identification: Identify operational risks, including inefficiencies, security breaches, or compliance violations, and report them to senior auditors or management.
Recommend Controls: Suggest enhancements to internal controls and risk mitigation strategies to ensure operational processes are secure and well-managed.
