Data Management Analyst

Roles and responsibilities

• Design, plan and deliver analytic expertise to support the delivery of SPL’s strategic objectives.
• Carry out overall data management related activities and tasks while conducting the needed analyses and developing reports accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist in the dissemination of data and information and conduct overall data management activities to enable the development of relevant reports.
• Assist in Developing & maintaining database and produce relevant, accurate and timely data to formulate plans, programs and enable decision making.
• Work proactively with sectors across SPL to deliver analytic solutions in support of management.
• Ensure compliance of data protection, availability, sources and systems classification and system integration for SPL.
• Provide informed input to fulfil internal and external data requests
Data Governance and Strategy
Data Governance: Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data consistency, quality, and security across the organization.
Data Management Framework: Create and maintain a data management framework that aligns with business objectives, ensuring that all data management practices are in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Data Policies and Standards: Define and enforce data management standards, including data entry, storage, accessibility, and data lifecycle management, to ensure proper data handling.
Data Quality and Integrity
Data Quality Monitoring: Continuously monitor and evaluate data quality, ensuring that data is accurate, complete, and consistent across all systems.
Data Cleansing: Identify and correct data inconsistencies, duplicates, or inaccuracies to maintain high-quality data that can be relied upon for business decisions.
Data Validation: Conduct regular data validation checks to ensure that data entered into systems adheres to established formats, values, and standards.

Data Mapping and Modeling: Create and manage data models and mappings to ensure consistent integration of data across different systems and platforms.

Data Security: Ensure that data is protected by implementing data security measures and adhering to data protection regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and other relevant industry standards.
Data Privacy Compliance: Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure that all data management practices comply with data privacy laws and organizational policies.
Access Control: Define and manage access permissions to ensure that only authorized personnel can access sensitive or confidential data.
Reporting and Analysis
Data Reporting: Generate and maintain regular reports that provide insights into the quality, usage, and flow of data within the organization.
Data Analysis: Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that can inform business decisions or highlight areas for improvement.
Support Decision-Making: Provide data-driven insights to business leaders, helping them make informed decisions based on accurate and reliable data.
