Description
Must Have: Way side HW engineer for railway Railway electrical designs
- Integrating the CBTC system to create a design that can be easily constructed on site making sure the produced installation details are compliant with the contract the system requirements and the local electrical regulations.
- Design and instruct subcontractor designer to route cables within the technical rooms and along the track system managing filling ratio existing pathways challenging proposing new pathways etc..
- Manage and seek resolution of the technical Interfaces between the engineering installation works and technological Systems/ subsystems;
- Be the connection chain between the site personnel and the engineering team creating synergy between the design and the field needs.
- Identify the critical issues in the development of the project and propose mitigation actions;
- Represent the Installation engineering team and support the design choices with the client;
- Ability to use Bluebeam and CAD software for interfaces definition and management as part of the project delivery strategy according to the Engineering Management Plan.
- Survey field locations and gather information for the existing infrastructure to complete the installation design when necessary
- Ability to identify understand and overcome installation challenging when developing the design
- Size pathways and raceway considering existing conditions and filling
- Familiar with Requirement Traceability Matrix and the Interface Registers tools.
- Design management of contractors and subcontractor activities: contract requirements and design processescontrol.
- Previous experience in construction is a plus.
- Demonstrate critical attention to detail and deadlines and are selfmotivated.
- Possess the ability to adapt well to change in direction and priorities in a project and deadlineoriented environment.
