- Responsible for training staff and maintaining a high level of performance according to hotel standards.
- Should be ready to assist at any time to ensure optimum service to our guests.
- Knowledgeable of daily features and activities within the hotel.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment at all times.
- Ability to follow directions from the client Banquet Director Banquet
- Manager as well as the Catering and Conference Services Manager.
- Ability to execute banquet events with minimal supervision.
- Other duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications :
- Banquet serving experience required. Past banquet captain experience preferred. Past supervisory experience preferred.
- Any previous culinary training a plus.
- High school graduate some college.
- Minimum of 18 years of age to service alcoholic beverages to guests.
- Certification of alcohol awareness program training in food wine & liquor service preferred. CPR certification preferred.
- Ability to communicate in English to management coworkers and to the guests understanding.
- Ability to provide legible communication.
- Ability to use Micros and manual systems.
- Organizational skills to lead a team to a successful event.
- Ability to utilize Micros Microsoft Excel Microsoft Word.
Essential Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift minimum weight of 20lbs. Capable of working consecutive hours without sitting down. Ability to lift and carry trays and ovals. 95% Stands during shift. 5% Sitting for opening and closing paperwork. 70% Reaching bending lifting.
