Job Description

Adelphi is seeking a Board Certified Medical Physicist to provide radiation oncology physics services at a facility in Long Beach California. The ideal candidate will assist in treatment planning quality assurance and radiation safety within the Radiation Oncology Department among other responsibilities.

Shift Schedule: MonFri 8am4:30pm (Specific schedule TBD 1040 annual hours)

Rate: $125/hr

Requirements:

PhD or Master s degree in Medical Physics

Board Certification in Medical Physics or Therapeutic Medical Physics by the ABR

Minimum 2 years continuous work experience within the last 3 years and 1 year of experience in an ACR/APExcertified facility

Minimum 2 years of experience performing QA procedures.

Minimum 1 year of experience with Varian TrueBeam Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) Eclipse Treatment Planning System ARIA Record & Verify System IMRT QA Toshiba CT Simulator (or equivalent) Superficial Xray Machine.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine QA procedures on treatment equipment.

Assist in treatment planning verification and radiation dose calculations.

Support machine commissioning and calibrations.

Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists and Dosimetrists to ensure accurate treatment delivery.

Other duties as assigned.
