Laundry Sorter

Responsible for dumping picking separating and sorting soiled sheets towels pillow cases bathmats and washcloths table tops napkins aprons bar mops and housekeeping rags to appropriate bins/slings along designated sorting conveyor line.

Job Functions

• Dump pick up separate and sort product on the belt in a consistent manner to help ensure smooth product flow and improved productivity.
• Discern type of article picked up and deposit in the appropriate bin/sling to complete the separating and sorting operation.
• Maintain organization cleanliness and safety practices within the sortation area.
• Wear personal protective equipment and adhere to all safety training.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by Management.

Qualifications :

• Six (6) months of experience in a high volume laundry production environment preferred.
• Must be able to stand and walk for the majority of a normal shift.
• Other physical requirements include but are not limited to lifting reaching kneeling stooping and bending.
• Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
