Deliver Engaging & Tailored English Lessons Plan and teach differentiated English lessons that inspire students covering literature reading comprehension writing and communication skills.
Support Individual Learning Needs Adapt your teaching to cater to the individual needs of students with a range of special educational needs ensuring every student is supported in their learning journey.
Encourage Communication & Literacy Skills Use creative and innovative methods to support the development of literacy and communication skills in students helping them build confidence in their abilities.
Collaborate with a MultiDisciplinary Team Work alongside teaching assistants speech therapists and other specialists to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and support students holistically.
Monitor Student Progress Regularly assess student progress and provide feedback to students parents and other professionals ensuring students reach their academic and personal goals.
Promote a Positive Classroom Environment Create an inclusive and encouraging atmosphere where students feel comfortable expressing themselves and are inspired to engage with their learning.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching English at secondary level preferably with a focus on SEN.
Experience in SEN Education Understanding of SEN teaching strategies with a focus on supporting students with autism dyslexia ADHD SEMH or other learning difficulties.
Passion for English A deep enthusiasm for English education and a desire to inspire students to develop their literacy and communication skills.
Creative & Adaptable A flexible innovative approach to teaching that caters to individual learning needs and engages students.
Empathetic & Patient A caring and patient teaching style with a strong commitment to supporting students emotional and academic development.
Strong Communication Skills Excellent ability to collaborate with staff parents and external professionals to support students learning and development.
An Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to obtain one).
