Position Title: Portfolio Performance Analyst
Reports to: Manager Asset Management International

JOB PURPOSE:
Lead company’s performance monitoring analysis and management support tools and processes to enable actionable business intelligence insights and reporting for stakeholders across company’s asset portfolio. Responsible for the enterprisewide implementation and management of company’s Asset Performance Management (APM) solutions and the continued development and deployment of company’s data science machine learning (DSML) activities.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Business Acumen
Devise data mining for all phases of predictive analytics including ETL (extract transform load) data cleaning and supervised and unsupervised APM and other DSML modelling and model training. Deploy AI and neural network algorithms to map and collect data from multiple data systems on premises and cloudbased data sources.
Analyse company’s asset and portfolio performance data produce and disseminate standardized and ad hoc reporting to management. Benchmark assets and portfolio performance against industry leading performance. Provide recommendations for continuous improvements and performance enhancing business practices and models.
Responsible for APM and DSML program scalability efficiency and progress of work in accordance with business plans schedules established standards and resource allocation in accordance with good industry practices.
Support the design development and administration of company’s digitization vision strategy implementation and governance.
Leverage performance monitoring and management platforms to assure effective risk management and business control in accordance with good industry practices contractual requirements and stakeholder goals and objectives.
Regularly measure performance management process effectiveness and efficiency metrics and manage remedial actions in collaboration with company Asset Management and local asset leaders.
Financial & Compliance Management
Conduct detailed financial analyses for the assets including budget management cost control and profitability assessments. Calculate and monitor financial metrics such as the Internal Rate of Return for each asset class.
People Management
Provide effective leadership and foster collaboration and communication with all company assets in relation to performance monitoring analytics and management. Facilitate performance management training and improvement initiatives in accordance with the company’s vision strategies and roadmaps.
Engage with all stakeholders to assure accurate interpretation and utilization of performance data. Deliver APM and other DSML support solutions.
Partner with Business Development and Business Support functions as Asset Management’s process owner of data analytics.
Manage interfaces with key stakeholders to proactively manage APM and other DSML implementation projects work processes and other priorities in accordance with agreed schedules and budgets. Adopt a management style based upon transparency collaboration partnership and inclusion.
Act as coach and mentor in support of the development of EtraPro and other DSML knowledge and skills for key personnel.
Budgeting and Financial Planning
Implement and monitor technical commercial and financial performance of company’s assets in support of relevant business functions. Developing and monitor leading and lagging KPIs to provide actionable insights for decision makers.
Policies Systems Processes & Procedures
Act as company’s process owner for Asset Management data analytics and reporting across the full asset life cycle from due diligence to divestment or decommissioning.
Ensure and demonstrate statutory compliance to offtakers and regulatory bodies. Review update and control company’s APM application and DSML systems relevant policy and procedures.
Assure all applicable information security (IS) requirements are met across company’s asset portfolio in accordance with international standards and local regulatory obligations.
Sustain DSML and digital culture by visible advocacy and commitment.
Continuous Improvement
Develop a suite of leading Business performance indicators for implementation in company’s performance monitoring and management activities.
Identify opportunities for collaboration with other data scientists data engineers machine learning engineers program designers and project managers on interdisciplinary projects usingdata mathematics and DSML to derive structure and knowledge from raw data across company’s asset portfolio.
Prototype statistical analysis and modelling algorithms and apply these algorithms for datadriven solutions to problems in new businesses. Audit create execute and maintain continuous improvement from own and other sources’ lessons learned.
Align with company standards and goals of a performance culture applying new and innovative methods to help achieve business goals and objectives.

6. Context Work environment & DECISIONMAKING AUTHORITY:
Provide functional expertise on data monitoring analytics and interpretation identification of root causes of performance nonconformances and deviations and the development and implementation of corrective actions to resolve performance shortfalls.
Provide lead audit capability to ensure APM and DSML procedures are implemented and carried out in accordance with company requirements and risk mitigation arrangements are properly applied.
Perform other duties as assigned in support of the delivery of performance monitoring and management.
7. QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree or PhD from a recognized university in engineering fields related to power and water generation sector and educational or practical appliance of computer science machine learning applied statistics mathematics.
Minimum Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in large process plant and industrial settings with experience in Industrial financial and nonfinancial KPIs and BPIs and SAP/Oracle/Maximo/MS Dynamics or equivalent ERP environments.
JobSpecific Skills (Generic / Technical):
Experience in quantitative analysis (stochastic calculus PDEs Monte Carlo methods and numerical methods) and analytical and statistical methods preferred.
Knowledge and experience on programming languages: R Python SQL and Time Series data acquisition systems like SQL Kafka Streams etc.
Expert level knowledge and experience in MS 365 Microsoft Fabric Power BI Power Automate and Power Apps
IT project management experience implementing data warehousing products (Oracle SAP Maximo etc.) business intelligence tools such as Qlik Tableau etc.
Strong background in collaboration and innovation technical and business understanding of data ETL (extract transform load) data cleaning (validation verification false positives).
Adaptability to a multinational environment with wide exposure to various cultures and customs. Ability to work with teams from diverse cultural backgrounds in multiple locations.
