Are you a passionate and experienced SENCO looking to lead an inclusive and highachieving secondary school A prestigious secondary school in Hackney is seeking a dedicated SENCO to join their team in April 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop the schools SEN provision in a school that is committed to ensuring all students can achieve their highest potential.

Lead and manage the SEN department ensuring highquality provision for students with additional learning needs.
Oversee the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and EHCPs to support student success.
Provide guidance and support to staff on SEN best practices differentiation and creating inclusive learning environments.
Work collaboratively with the SLT teachers and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Monitor and assess the progress of SEN students ensuring interventions are effective and tailored to individual needs.
Lead on SEN policy development promoting inclusive strategies across the school.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with the National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to complete).
Experience in a SENCO role or leading SEN provision in a secondary school.
Strong knowledge of SEN legislation policies and best practices.
Excellent leadership communication and organisational skills.
A commitment to promoting inclusion and ensuring equitable access to learning.
An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
