SEN Teacher Mainstream School (SEN Provision) Sutton
Role: SEN Teacher
Nature: FullTime Permanent
Start: April 2025 or September 2025
Salary: MPS/UPS SEN Allowance
A supportive and inclusive mainstream school in Sutton is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their specialist SEN provision. This is an exciting opportunity to work with children who have additional learning needs providing them with the tailored support they need to thrive within a mainstream setting.
Role Highlights:
- Fulltime permanent position in a wellestablished SEN provision within a mainstream school in Sutton
- Teach and support students with a range of special educational needs including autism (ASC) speech and language difficulties and moderate learning difficulties (MLD)
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that meet the needs of individual learners
- Work closely with teaching assistants SENCO and external specialists to provide a holistic and inclusive learning experience
- Develop and implement EHCPs ensuring that students receive appropriate interventions and support
- Foster a nurturing and structured learning environment that encourages confidence and independence
Experience & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience working with SEN students ideally within a mainstream or specialist provision
- Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies differentiation and behaviour management
- A patient adaptable and compassionate approach to supporting students with additional needs
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS check required
