KS2 Lead Teacher Responsibilities
- Lead the KS2 team providing clear direction and support to ensure high standards of teaching and learning across the key stage.
- Take responsibility for the KS2 curriculum ensuring its engaging challenging and tailored to the needs of all learners.
- Monitor and assess student progress using data to inform teaching and provide targeted support where needed.
- Promote and share best practices across KS2 helping staff continuously improve and develop their teaching strategies.
- Support and mentor KS2 teachers offering guidance on lesson planning differentiation assessment and classroom management.
- Ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to take ownership of their learning and develop a love for learning.
- Communicate regularly with parents to keep them informed of their childs progress and to foster strong homeschool partnerships.
- Contribute to the wider school development by playing an active role in schoolwide initiatives and providing input into the school improvement plan.
- Lead on wholeschool initiatives within KS2 bringing innovative ideas to life and ensuring effective implementation.
KS2 Lead Teacher Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Education or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching in KS2 with a track record of excellent outcomes for students.
- Previous leadership experience or a strong desire to take on a leadership role within the school.
- A solid understanding of the National Curriculum for KS2 and effective assessment methods.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate both students and colleagues.
- A commitment to fostering an environment where children can thrive academically socially and emotionally.
- Proactive leadership and a desire to contribute to schoolwide developments and improvements.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and the desire to be part of a forwardthinking team.
