Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 1 Teacher for a lovely inclusive school located in a residential area of Waltham Forest starting after the February half term 2025. This is a fulltime position. The school offers a supportive environment with a strong ethos of inclusion and community. Interviews will be held as soon as possible.

Year 1 Teacher Responsibilities
- Plan prepare and deliver engaging lessons that are tailored to meet the needs of Year 1 students.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages mutual respect and enthusiasm for learning.
- Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback and setting clear development targets.
- Foster students independence and creativity helping them build essential skills for future learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
- Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians keeping them informed of their childs progress and addressing any concerns.
- Participate in staff meetings professional development and school activities as required.
Year 1 Teacher Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Education or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 especially in Year 1.
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective assessment methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to differentiate teaching to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- A teamoriented approach and a passion for inclusive education.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
