Job Description

A respected and established primary school in Oxford is seeking a dedicated and experienced Year 5 Teacher to join their team on a fulltime fixedterm basis. The role is set to begin in April 2025 and while initially for the remainder of the academic year there is potential for the position to become permanent. Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis.

Position Overview

  • Role: Year 5 Teacher
  • Location: Oxford
  • Contract: FullTime FixedTerm (Until the End of the Academic Year with Possibility of Becoming Permanent)
  • Start Date: April 2025

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver highquality teaching that aligns with the national curriculum ensuring that students in Year 5 meet their academic goals.
  • Plan and implement engaging differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Provide regular feedback on student progress adapting teaching strategies to support individual learning needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency in teaching and learning practices across the school.
  • Engage with parents and carers to discuss student progress fostering strong partnerships between home and school.

Desired Qualifications and Skills

  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience teaching Year 5 or within Key Stage 2 is preferred.
