Job Description

As an Associate Product Development Engineer you will develop innovative new products and extend our current product lines using engineering best practices. You will be responsible for new products from ideate through launch.  During the process you will use analytical and empirical engineering methods to ensure that new products meet all User Business and Compliance requirements. 

This role is eligible for a hybrid schedule based in North Olmsted OH.

RESPONSIBLIITIES:

Develop innovative new products and extend current product line

  • Work together with team members to develop capable costeffective manufacturing and assembly processes concurrent to product design activities to ensure robust designs are delivered
  • Problem solving and failure analysis using engineering analysis tools
  • Actively participate in Design Reviews / DFM / DFA for new products
  • Proactively compile prepare and present data for timely project updates and technical presentations

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors Degree of Science in Engineering required
  • Experience with 3D modeling CAD software
  • Works well in a collaborative design environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior Coop / Internship experience
  • Experience with SolidWorks and/or 3DX
  • Exposure to Failure Analysis FEA DRBFM FMEA DOE and DFMA
  • Ability to apply engineering principles i.e. fluid mechanical and thermal
  • Interpretation of statistics related to manufacturing processes and part design
  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
  • Tolerance stackup and analysis


Additional Information :

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $56000 USD $98000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range or be above or below the range based on factors including but not limited to education training experience professional achievement business need and location. In addition to base salary employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance or a rolebased sales incentive plan.
